Mongai Fankam

Postpartum Doula

Mongai Fankam brings a unique perspective to her work as a postpartum professional doula, drawing on her Cameroonian-American heritage and a family legacy in midwifery. Raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, her early exposure to the challenges in maternal health for women of color has been the driving force behind her career. Fankam’s approach to postpartum care is informed by a deep-seated desire to improve the post-birth experiences and outcomes for mothers, particularly those facing systemic health inequities.

Her services as a doula focus on offering comprehensive support to mothers after childbirth, aiming to alleviate the physical and emotional challenges of the postpartum period. Fankam’s expertise and empathetic care help mothers to recover, bond with their newborns, and navigate the complexities of new motherhood with confidence, with a particular emphasis on serving women of color in her community.
