Yoga & Relaxation Breathing (with Cassie)

Prenatal Yoga is a form of gentle yoga that is designed to complement the growing needs of a pregnant body during all three trimesters. The focus is on restorative poses that keep you safe while practicing movement, stretching, deep breathing, and mental centering.
Prenatal Yoga is used to help mothers connect better with their baby, stay healthy throughout pregnancy, remain flexible and strong helping her prepare for the challenges of labor & birth. Prenatal Yoga includes poses, deep breathing, relaxation and meditation that may be practiced through all trimesters (clearing any medical issues with the care provider). Prenatal Yoga is a great way to connect with other mothers-to-be and establish friendships that go far beyond birth.
The goal of our Relaxation and Breathing class is to teach and empower you to create “pockets of peace” for yourself; a calming, serene atmosphere in any environment.
This class will explore various relaxation-related topics including:
- Relation of relaxation to oxytocin
- Relation of relaxation to parasympathetic system
- Relaxation techniques from different cultures
- The process of relaxation
- Relaxation to maintain/regain control over your body
- Methods of relaxation
- Health benefits of relaxation
