Putting it all together (Childbirth Education part II)

This class is a combination course; a culmination of information, teaching and concepts from our entry-level Classroom Education classes.
Putting It All Together is an advanced-level class, and is the next educational step for any single, or combination of other, entry-level class(es). This learning experience is typically constrained to a small group setting to ensure plenty of direct interaction between participants and instructors.
Additionally, this is an excellent class for those who do not wish to use professional labor support, but want to be aware, informed and educated about becoming an effective advocate for yourself during your prenatal, birth and postpartum experience.
Topics to be discussed include, but are not limited to:
Understanding “informed consent” and its importance to your patient care
Understanding implicit and unconscious bias in the healthcare system
Creating a Birth Plan
Creating a Meal and Nutrition Plan
Creating a meaningful Support Plan (prenatal, labor & delivery, postpartum)
Creating appropriate questions for:
Your healthcare provider
Your insurance provider
Entry into a hospital or birth center setting
