DONA International

DONA International is the world’s first, largest and leading doula certifying organization. When our founders created DONA in 1992, they professionalized the role of the doula. Since then, we have certified more than 12,000 DONA International doulas in more than 50 countries.

DONA International’s primary function is to provide excellent doula education and certification to a diverse population of doulas world-wide. DONA International promotes the highest quality perinatal support for pregnant, birthing, and postpartum people and their families by setting the standard for doula education and training, and by advocating the research-based benefits of doula care.

Lamaze International

Lamaze International is a non-profit organization, a trusted global leader, with a mission to advance safe and healthy pregnancy, birth and early parenting through evidence-based education and advocacy.

The Lamaze Vision is to be the trusted global leader in ensuring all parents make confident and informed decisions with the support and resources to have safe, healthy births.

Our goal is simple: We want all parents to feel confident, supported and powerful as they ask questions, make decisions, and navigate their path through pregnancy, birth and parenthood.

Spinning Babies

Spinning Babies® is a unique approach to birth created by midwife, Gail Tully.

Spinning Babies® offers a third perspective to the “natural vs. managed” childbirth today. In reality, we don’t pick all one or all the other. Technology and Nature aren’t teams in a sport to which we must be loyal. Medicine and Midwifery are professions developed to serve Nature when the body needs support.

So, rather than increasing technology or medication to help childbirth, we activate nature within the body by working with the body in new ways. We begin with physiology and move to interventions if and when needed.

The VBAC Link

At The VBAC Link, we have a deep passion for empowering parents and birth workers. Our goal is to make YOUR birth after Cesarean better, No matter how that looks. We understand and respect that VBAC is not the right way to give birth for everyone but hope to educate and empower you to have an active role in your pregnancy and birth experience.

We believe in making birth after Cesarean better by providing education, support, and a community of like minded people.

Postpartum Support International

The mission of Postpartum Support International (PSI) is to promote awareness, prevention and treatment of mental health issues related to childbearing in every country worldwide.

It is the vision of PSI that every woman and family worldwide will have access to information, social support, and informed professional care to deal with mental health issues related to childbearing. PSI promotes this vision through advocacy and collaboration, and by educating and training the professional community and the public.

Academy of Certified Birth Educators

The Academy of Certified Birth Educators (ACBE) is an organization dedicated to training and providing continuing education opportunities for birth doulas and certified childbirth educators.
